Choosing a
Breast Lift Type
While all breast lift types and incisions offer the same general outcome—lifting of the breasts—the method your surgeon decides to use will depend on several factors, including the weight and size of your breasts, the amount of excess skin to be excised, whether an implant is in place, the degree of breast ptosis (sagging), and the size of the areolas.
Wise Pattern
Breast Lift
In a Wise Pattern breast lift, an incision is made around the areola, then a second, vertical incision is made extending downward, following the natural curve of the breast to its base. The advantage of this incision is that it provides the maximum adjustment possible to the shape of the breast.
Benelli
Breast Lift
The Benelli breast lift is perfect for first degree ptosis (mild sagging) where less than two centimeters of excess skin needs to be excised. Because this type of breast lift is less invasive than others, the healing and recovery will be somewhat easier. This also means there are fewer breast lift risks and complications.
The only downside is most breasts are usually not classified as having first degree ptosis. If the breasts have a high degree of droop with too much weight and excess skin, the Benelli breast lift will not achieve optimal results.

Crescent
Breast Lift
The crescent lift can be suitable for those who are having breast augmentation done simultaneously, if the breast requires only minor repositioning with reshaping, which is what the placement of the implant will achieve.

Lollipop
Breast Lift
Sometimes also called a vertical breast lift, this type is ideal for women who require a medium amount of surgical correction. Because of the small incisions, scarring is minimized, and healing time is shorter than with other breast lift types.
